ABOUT
Hybridoma-derived rat IgG2a isotype control mAb against E. coli β-galactosidase
Rat IgG2a Control (clone C1-2A7) is a monoclonal rat antibody (mAb) targeting E. coli β-galactosidase (β-Gal), an antigen that is not present in other organisms. Therefore, it does not react with rat proteins.
It serves as a negative control for rat IgG2a antibodies, derived from hybridoma cells.
It was obtained from a rat immunized with DNA encoding for β-Gal.
Anti-β-Gal-rIgG2a was produced in hybridoma cells and purified by affinity chromatography.
InvivoGen provides a collection of isotype control monoclonal antibodies (mAb) designed to help differentiate non-specific background from specific antibody signal. In general, isotype controls should match the primary antibody's host, isotype, and subclass, method of production, and working concentration.
All products are for research use only, and not for human or veterinary use.
