Inflammasome Inhibitors

Inflammasomes are multiprotein platforms that induce a complex signaling cascade resulting in the activation of inflammatory caspases (caspase-1 and caspase 11-4/5).

Inflammasome activation triggers the maturation and secretion of IL-1β and IL-18, as well as the release of alarmins through the formation of Gasdermin D (GSDMD) pores at the surface membrane. Ultimately, the accumulation of GSDMD pores leads to an inflammatory cell death called pyroptosis.

InvivoGen offers a selection of inhibitors to block inflammasome-induced responses.

  • NLRP3 inflammasome inhibitors
  • AIM2 inflammasome inhibitor
  • Caspase-1 or pan-caspase inhibitors

All inflammasome inhibitors provided by InvivoGen are endotoxin-free and validated using THP1-HMGB1-Lucia™ cells to activate the inflammasome, and HEK-Blue™ IL-1β cells to measure the release of bioactive IL-1β.
