DNA Synthesis Inhibitors

InvivoGen provides DNA synthesis inhibitors:

- 5-Fluorouracil (5-FU) Thymidylate Synthase Inhibitor - Prodrug for fur, fcy::fur, upp and codA::upp genes
- Ganciclovir (GCV) DNA Synthesis Inhibitor - Prodrug for HSV1-tk and EHV4-tk genes

The prodrugs 5-fluorouracil and ganciclovir are relatively non-toxic compounds. Once administered, they are metabolized by their corresponding suicide genes into highly cytotoxic metabolites.
