Human Isotype Controls

InvivoGen provides a collection of isotype control monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) designed to help differentiate non-specific background from specific antibody signal. In general, isotype controls should match the primary antibody's host, isotype and subclass, method of production, and working concentration.

The human isotype control mAb family comprises the variable region of an E.coli anti-β-galactosidase (β-Gal) mAb and the constant region of different native (IgG1, IgG2, IgG3, IgG4 and IgA2) or engineered (IgG1 (N298A), IgG1fut, and IgG4 (S228P)) isotypes. These mAbs differ in their effector functions, such as complement-dependent cytotoxicity (CDC) and antibody-dependent cell-mediated cytotoxicity (ADCC).

Our human isotype controls are produced in Chinese hamster ovary (CHO) cells using recombinant technology. They can be used for blocking, neutralization, depletion, or activation assays in vivo or in vitro, as well as for other applications, including immunofluorescence (IF), immunocytochemistry (ICC), immunoprecipitation (IP), and ELISA.

Note: InvivoGen also provides Anti-β-Gal-hIgG3 and Anti-β-Gal-hIgG4 mAbs upon request.
