ABOUT
CD14 promoter (Monocytic cells) in pDRIVE expression plasmid
CD14 is a receptor for bacterial lipopolysaccharide expressed on the surface of myeloid-derived cells, and is strongly upregulated during monocytic cell differentiation.
Monocyte-specific expression of CD14 is regulated at the transcriptional level.
The CD14 promoter contains a C/EBP [1] and Sp1 [2] site that are critical for tissue-specific regulation of CD14 gene expression.
