Expression-ready ORF Clones

pSELECT-HMGB1-Lucia are mammalian vectors designed for expression of the human or murine HMGB1::Lucia fusion genes. These plasmids are selectable in bacteria and mammalian cells with Zeocin™.

pSELECT-HMGB1::Lucia plasmids contain two expression cassettes. 

• The first one delivers strong and constitutive expression of HMGB1::Lucia.
• The second one drives the zeocin-resistance gene (Sh ble) that allows the selection of stable transfectants (and selection in bacteria).

Each cassette terminates with a strong polyadenylation signal (polyA) thus preventing any transcription interference. In order to obtain enough copies for HMGB1::Lucia expression in mammalian cells, we recommend to use this plasmid for viral gene transfer.

Expression of HMGB1::Lucia in cells equipped for inflammasome mediated-pyroptosis and/or necroptosis allows monitoring of these forms of necrotic cell death.
