CD180 molecule.
CD180 antigen.
Lymphocyte antigen 64 (mouse) homolog.
CD180 (RP105), a TLR-related protein, was identified in B cells and acts as both an LPS sensor and a regulator of B cell proliferation [1]. B-cells lacking CD180 were shown to be severely impaired in LPS-induced proliferation and antibody production. Like TLR4, CD180 requires a MD2-related protein, MD1, for its surface expression. Furthermore, the expression of CD180 was reported to strongly increase during differentiation, suggesting that CD180 is also important in monocyte function [2].
