Expression-ready ORF Clones

Alias : RIP1

Receptor interacting serine/threonine kinase 1.

Receptor-interacting protein (RIP1), a serine/threonine kinase, mediates the activation of NF-kB in response to TNF [1]. RIP1 belongs to a family of related kinases that includes RIP2 and RIP3 that share significant homology in their N termini but possess distinct C termini [2]. RIP1 contains a death domain (DD) and interacts with proteins containing DD such as TNFR1, Fas, TRAIL and FADD [3]. RIP1 was shown to be an essential mediator of TLR3-induced NF-kB activation [4]. TLR3 signals through TRIF which recruits RIP1 which in turn associates with IKK leading to the activation of NF-kB.
