ODN 2006
Class B CpG oligonucleotide - Stimulatory human TLR9 ligand
InvivoGen provides ODN 2006, a Class B CpG oligonucleotide (ODN) with a preference for the human Toll-like receptor 9 (TLR9). Class B (Type K) CpG ODNs, such as ODN 2006, contain a full phosphorothioate backbone with one or more CpG dinucleotides.
CpG ODNs are synthetic oligonucleotides that contain unmethylated CpG dinucleotides in specific sequence contexts (CpG motifs). These CpG motifs are present at a 20-fold greater frequency in microbial DNA than in mammalian DNA. CpG ODNs are recognized by TLR9, which leads to strong immunostimulatory effects. ODN 2006 has been tested as an adjuvant in numerous animal models. Research has demonstrated that ODN 2006 is an effective adjuvant for stimulating antibody- and interferon-mediated cellular immune responses.
The sequence of the ODN 2006 is 5’-tcgtcgttttgtcgttttgtcgtt-3’ of 24 mer. The bases are phosphorothioate and therefore nuclease resistant.
